Show Notes:

The Boston Tea Party was a music club first located at 53 Berkeley Street in Boston’s South End before moving to 15 Lansdowne Street, in Kenmore Square across from Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, when it outgrew its original space. The Lansdowne Street site, formerly home to its competitor The Ark, housed the club from July 1969 until it closed at the end of 1970.

The space later became a disco, then The Metro/Spit club complex (1980–1988), followed by Citi, Axis, and Avalon, before being demolished and replaced by the House of Blues in 2009.

Eric first performed at the Lansdowne Street venue in 1970 (Boston Tea Party) and returned in 1986 (The Metro).
